Nandapur, Dec, 15: An Antyodaya Housing Fair was organized on Friday at the meeting hall of the Nandapur Block Office premises. On the occasion, BDO Durgaprasad Dora provided incentive cheques of ₹20,000 each to beneficiaries Sania Khul, Keshab Khara, Gopi Kirsani, and Gobind Pangi, who completed their house construction within the stipulated time of four months.
The BDO advised other housing beneficiaries to complete construction within the prescribed timeframe, informing them that an incentive of ₹20,000 is provided if the house is completed within four months, and ₹10,000 if completed within six months.
The housing fair was conducted by Housing Coordinator Pavitra Kumar Sahu, GPDO Dibakar Purohit, and BPA Suresh Bankia. Aadhaar cards of 33 beneficiaries were updated during the event.
Incentive amounts are being provided to eligible beneficiaries. Bank account details of 24 beneficiaries with DBT enabled accounts were updated.
Complaints were raised that housing beneficiaries had not received wages for 95 days of employment under MGNREGS, and in some cases, the wages meant for housing beneficiaries had been credited to the accounts of other laborers. In response, BDO Dora directed the APO to make the necessary arrangements to ensure payment of wages to all housing beneficiaries within a week.
