Beheda: In Shiraguda, under Beheda of Umerkote in Nabarangpur district, a religious celebration has begun for the installation of Maa Jimidharini Temple. According to the temple committee, rituals and worship ceremonies will be held from April 29 to May 1.
A large number of devotees are expected to participate in the temple’s installation festival. The region is witnessing deep religious fervor, with numerous devotees arriving from distant places. A devotional atmosphere has enveloped the area, and the committee members are visibly enthusiastic.
Committee President Veeranath Bhatra, Secretary Rabindra Bag, Treasurer Sukunaath Gand, and members Kamulu, Yugashai, Subash, Mangal, Kartik, Nitya, Chanchal, Indra, Ratan, Raju, Lachha, Sambaru, Baikuntha, Dinabandhu, Ghasi, Laki, Sahadev, Chandan, along with many others from the surrounding areas, are voluntarily contributing their efforts, as stated by the committee.
This morning, thousands of devotees participated in the Kalasha Yatra (sacred water pot procession) starting from the banks of the Tel River. Continuous religious offerings and financial contributions are ongoing from the committee’s side, and many devotees have partaken in the prasada (holy food offering).
