Nabarangpur, Jan, 02: On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the founder of Banaras Hindu University and freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya, a speech program on their lives will be held on the 25th of this month at the Parliament House in New Delhi.
For participation in this program, Basant Chandal, a student of Majhidhanua Upgraded High School under Kosagumuda block, has been selected. A total of 36 students from across India have been selected for this program, of which only two are from Odisha.
After the news spread that Basant, a student from a remote region like Nabarangpur, will travel to Delhi to present his speech at Parliament House, a wave of joy swept across the Kosagumuda block. This success has been achieved due to the untiring efforts of his teacher, Badrinarayan Biswal.
On Basant’s achievement, District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Additional District Education Officer Prakash Chandra Mahalik, District Science Inspector Chittaranjan Pattanayak, and others have extended their best wishes and congratulations.
