Nandapur/20th Sept 2025: Under the Balda Forest Range, saplings were distributed on Monday across 12 panchayats of Zilla Parishad Zone-2 in Nandapur Block as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign.
The sapling distribution program was organized under the chairmanship of Balda Forest Officer Badal Kumar Mohanty, with BDO Durgaprasad Dora attending as the chief guest. The BDO flagged off a mobile van designated to deliver saplings to each panchayat.
This mobile van will carry various types of saplings to the following 12 panchayats:
- Pachhalunga
- Parjabadapada
- Golur
- Kularsing
- Chatua
- Khunabar
- Hatibari
- Padua
- Kulabira
- Balda
- Bheja
- Badel
- According to Range Officer Mohanty, each panchayat will receive approximately 500 saplings of different species. These saplings will be planted at identified locations with the cooperation of local youth, women, and students, as informed by BDO Dora.
