Aali, Nov 24: A Bal Vaigyanik (Junior Scientist) Exhibition was organized on Wednesday at Samant Singhara Kelucharan High School under Patrapur Panchayat of Aali Block. In this programme, students of Classes IX and X presented various types of science projects they had prepared.
The chief guest of the event, Shri Kanan Bihari Parida, the Sarpanch of Patrapur Panchayat, addressed the gathering and said that such programmes are essential for nurturing scientific thinking among children.
The meeting was chaired by the Headmistress, Smt. Aradhana Dash. She explained to the students the greatness of Odia culture. Shri Shubhrakanta Mishra, Headmaster of Chandi Agadi Combined High School, attended the event as the chief speaker.
The President of the Panchasakha School Management Committee, Shri Kshirod Kumar Parida; former teacher Shri Maheshwar Pradhan; the Headmaster of the local Higher Secondary School, Shri Anand Chandra Mahapatra; School Management Committee members Shri Suryakanta Sahu, Shri Subuddhi Ray, and Pradeep Kumar Parida participated as guests and discussed the intellectual and scientific development of the students.
Senior teacher Shri Pankaj Bihari Das introduced the guests. Finally, the guests visited all the science-based project stalls prepared by the students.
In the competition, Satyajit Raut secured the first position, Santosh Parida secured second place, and Archita Bhuyan secured the third position. The meritorious students were awarded by the dignitaries on stage.
At the end, Science Teacher Smt. Monalisa Patri offered a vote of thanks. Other teachers and staff of the school—Sarada Prasanna Sahu, Sumitra Acharya, Subhashree Jena Behera, Sumitra Behera, Meenakshi Parida, Chiranjiba Mahalik, Girija Shankar Das, and Prasad Kumar Das—also extended their cooperation to make the event successful.
