Umerkote : The annual function of PM Shri Government Upgraded High School, Bakoda, located in Umerkote, was celebrated with grand enthusiasm. The event was presided over by Headmaster Shri Naresh Chandra Pattnayak.

Odisha Government’s School and Mass Education Department Cabinet Minister Shri Nityananda Gond attended as the Chief Guest, while Nabarangpur MP Eng. Balabhadra Majhi was present as the Guest of Honour. Additional District Education Officer Dr. Resham Lal Nayak delivered the keynote speech. Other dignitaries included Cluster Education Officer Ishwar Chandra Majhi, Zilla Parishad Member Chandan Ray, School Managing Committee Chairman Ghasia Pujari, and Bal Chand Bhatra, the representative of Bakoda Panchayat’s Sarpanch.

Headmaster Shri Pattnayak introduced the guests and read out the annual report. The program began with a Sanskrit devotional song performed by the girl students. The Chief Guest and the MP jointly inaugurated an educational exhibition at the event.

Minister Shri Gond shared many inspiring messages with the students and informed them about various government schemes. He advised everyone to take an interest in education and attend school regularly. MP Shri Majhi encouraged the students to grow into good human beings and contribute to society. Keynote speaker Shri Nayak urged students to study diligently and show respect to their parents and teachers.

Awards were presented to students who excelled in various fields, succeeded in annual sports events, and performed well in the Olympic Values Education Program. The celebration concluded with vibrant and diverse cultural performances by students.

Teachers including Sachidananda Mahapatra, Deb Kumar Deo, Sudhanshu Sekhar Sahu, Narendra Kumar Harijan, Uttam Das, Karuna Kar Majhi, Daiman Bhatra, Shibashankar Pati, Colin Das, Sanjit Kumar Swain, Janmejaya Prasad Sahu, Nikhil Chandra Biswas, Pradeep Raut, Sagarika Baidya, Kumari Apanda Guru, and Mohammad Sarfaraz played key roles in organizing and supporting the event.
