Bargarh, 26th July 2025: The Baitali Government Upper Primary School, located under Baitali cluster in Jharbandh block of Bargarh district, has recently become the center of attention. Last year, this school won the Chief Minister’s Education Award at the block level, securing the first position among three selected schools.
Despite facing challenges such as lack of classrooms and shortage of teaching staff, the school earned the award under the direct guidance of Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) Dibas Kumar Sahu, the relentless efforts of then Headmaster Bishwamitra Bag, and the active cooperation of assistant teachers.
As per government guidelines, all educational activities in the school are being implemented effectively. Assistant teacher Jagannath Padhaan played a leading role in this effort, with significant contributions from Sujata Sahu, another assistant teacher.
To utilize the prize money from the Chief Minister’s Education Award effectively, current headmaster Jagannath Padhaan, CRCC Dibas Kumar Sahu, and School Management Committee President Sudeshta Mahapatra held discussions and submitted a proposal to the government for purchasing CCTV cameras, internet connectivity, and furniture.
Bargarh District Collector Aditya Goyal approved the proposal and directed that work be carried out according to proper guidelines. As a result, CCTV cameras and internet services have now been installed in the school. This enables parents to monitor their children’s activities directly through their phones, fostering discipline among students and enhancing their interest in studies.
District Collector Aditya Goyal has praised all the teachers, the school committee, parents, and villagers for their efforts and extended his gratitude.
