Nandapur, 18th Nov 2025: At Park Line near the Hanuman Temple in Nandapur, Koraput district, a Padi Puja was organized on Sunday for 13 youths who have taken the 41-day Ayyappa Deeksha.
From the very first day of taking the deeksha, 11 of the youths had left their homes and were staying in the Gayatri Mandap within the Nandapur Hanuman Temple premises, leading a simple and disciplined life, meditating on Lord Ayyappa.
As per the rituals, the Padi Puja was conducted on the 39th day. Using banana stems and flowers, a structure resembling the Kerala Sabarimala Temple was created for conducting the rituals.
Upcoming Ritual Journey to Sabarimala
After completing the Irumudi ritual on Tuesday, all 11 dikshits will begin their journey for darshan at the Sabarimala Temple.
Those who have taken deeksha include: Ugendra, Santosh, Dasharath, Ramesh, Ganga, Jayapuria, Sai Mohan, Parmesh, Ganesh, Satibabu, and Nagesh.
