Bhubaneswar: Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana in Odisha), the Ayushman Bayo-Bandana Yojana has been implemented in the state to provide health insurance to all senior citizens above the age of 70.
Even though I hold the responsibility of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Parliamentary Affairs, and Electronics & Information Technology Department in the State Cabinet, my father, Shri Meenaketan Mahalinga, a retired Headmaster, has today registered under the Ayushman Bayo-Bandana Yojana, being eligible for health benefits under the scheme, and downloaded his health card. He is extremely happy and has expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
I appeal to all senior citizens of Odisha above the age of 70 to get registered under the Ayushman Bayo-Bandana Yojana, download their health cards, and avail themselves of quality and cashless healthcare services.
