Malkangiri, 30th Aug 2025:Continuous heavy rainfall in the past two days in the hilly regions of Malkangiri district has caused water levels in small rivers and streams to rise, resulting in local flooding. Several areas have reported damage to homes, roads, and small bridges.
In Mudulipada Panchayat of Khairput block, a government Ayurvedic hospital building has been damaged due to rainwater seepage. Water entered the building, damaging medicinal supplies and important documents kept inside the medical facility.
