Papadahandi –15th Oct 2025: An inter-state migrant worker awareness camp was organized at the Neelakantheshwar Mistry Association Hall in the Papadahandi Sub-Division of Nabarangpur district, at the panchayat level.
On this occasion, Block Vice Chairman Sushanta Behera attended as the chief guest, while Papadahandi BDO Kapiladev Sahu was present as the guest of honor.
Around 200 male and female migrant workers participated in the camp. During the session, the guests informed the workers about the deceptive practices of middlemen and labor agents who lure them to other states for work and later subject them to various forms of exploitation and abuse.
At the end of the camp, migrant worker registration cards were distributed by the guests to newly registered workers.
