Authorities Organize Training on Forest Fire Prevention and Control

Rayagada: A forest fire prevention awareness and training program for forest fire control teams was organized in the forest region of Rayagada. The event took place at the Forest Park near Kekaloni, where District Council Chairperson Saraswati Majhi participated as the chief guest.

Other attendees included Rayagada Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Tuni Huika, District Council Member Sandhya Pulaka, District Fire Officer Ramesh Behera, and wildlife conservationists, along with 20 sarpanches.

The chief guest and other speakers urged the public to cooperate with the forest department in controlling and preventing forest fires. Discussions were held on the adverse impact of forest fires on human society.

Rayagada Forest Range Officer Kameshwar Acharya, Gumma Forest Guard Dambarudhar Nayak, Rayagada Forest Guard Santosh Kumar Panigrahi, Kumatalpeta Forest Guard Pradyumna Kumar Behera, and Padmavati Padhi, among others, contributed to the program’s success.
