Phulbani: An auspicious groundbreaking ceremony with rituals and worship was held on Sunday at the Korane Sun Podia in Phulbani, marking the beginning of preparations for the upcoming Baishakhi Festival and Trade Fair 2025. The 12-day-long event is scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 8.
The event is being organized under the leadership of Sunil Pattnaik, senior journalist and president of the Baishakhi Festival and Trade Fair 2025 committee. Other notable attendees included Festival Committee Chairman and journalist Radha Mohan Mahapatra, Secretary Kahnu Charan Satapathy, Vice-President Sujit Behera, Treasurer Prasanna Kumar Swaain, and members Dilip Mahapatra, senior journalists Gopal Krishna Pattnaik, Braja Nanda, along with Mushkan Suar, Niharika Mahanti, Rupambika Tripathy, Ashok Mahanti, Badhya Nayak, Prashanu Jena, Aditya Tripathy, Sonush Digal, Ajit Maharana, Trade Association President Ashok Pattnaik, and Raju Bhaiya.
The fair will feature around 150+ commercial stalls, a mini-market, and daily colorful cultural programs in the evening.
