Jeypore: The Koraput district ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) recently organized a journalists’ meeting at the local Gurukul Play School with the goal of strengthening the organization by enrolling fourteen thousand new members. The ABVP aims to contest the upcoming student union elections by fielding candidates in six educational institutions to secure victory.
A significant point of discussion was targeting the government regarding the suspension of the student union elections. However, the current government has welcomed the decision to conduct the upcoming student union elections without any delays.

It was informed that for the academic year 2025-26, the Odisha Western region and its 14 affiliated districts have set a target to enroll one lakh forty thousand new members. Starting from the current academic year, ABVP plans to contest student union elections in 331 colleges and 8 universities across the Odisha Western region.
