Nabarangpur, Jan, 06:: The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the district-level “Good Governance Day” were celebrated at the local Shastri Bhavan. The event included a live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s parliamentary program and an award distribution ceremony for winners of district-level sports competitions.
The chief guest of the program was Member of Parliament Balabhadra Majhi. The meeting was presided over by Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia. Other honored guests included Municipality Chairperson Kunu Nayak, School and Mass Education Department representatives, Bihar representative Kunj Bihari Das, MP Sports Coordinator Rameshwar Jena, District Sports Association Editor Arjun Tripathi, and chief speaker retired Professor Dr. Vijay Mishra.
During the birth anniversary celebration, the guests highlighted Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life philosophy, patriotism, vision, statesmanship, and humanitarian sensitivity. The guests also encouraged participants of the MP sports competitions.
On this occasion, winners of essay and oratory competitions on Vajpayee’s life and good governance among college and university students were awarded by the chief guest.
In total, 34 winners from various sports competitions across 21 blocks of the Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency received trophies and certificates from the chief guest.
