Nabarangpur, Dec, 27: The local Shastri Bhavan, the birth anniversary celebration of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the district-level ‘Good Governance Day’ were observed. The program included the live broadcast of the event celebrating the honorable Prime Minister and an award distribution ceremony for the district-level parliamentary sports festival.
The chief guests at the event included Honorable MP Balabhadra Majhi, additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia as the chairperson of the assembly, distinguished guest and Municipality Chairperson Kunu Nayak, representatives from the School and Mass Education Department Kunj Bihari Das, MP Sports Coordinator Rameshwar Jena, District Sports Association Editor Arjun Tripathy, and chief speaker, retired Professor Dr. Bijay Mishra.
During the birth anniversary celebration, the guests expressed their views on Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life philosophy, patriotism, farsightedness, great political acumen, and human sensitivity. They encouraged the participants who took part in the parliamentary sports competitions. On this occasion, the chief guest awarded prizes to the winners of essay and speech competitions on Vajpayee’s life philosophy and good governance, held among higher secondary and college students.
On this occasion, the chief guest also awarded trophies along with certificates to 34 winners of various sports competitions held across 21 blocks in the Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency.
