Rajkanika: A ray of hope for the helpless—“Ashbasti Bhavan” will soon be a home and support center for the neglected elderly and destitute. The foundation stone for this center was laid at Sapalanga village under Nahuni Gram Panchayat of Rajkanika block in Kendrapara district. This initiative is being undertaken by Ashbasti Foundation, Odisha.
During the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, several dignitaries expressed their views, stating that the center will always serve the helpless.
The event was held under the chairmanship of Liliprava Biswal, Sarpanch of Nahuni Gram Panchayat. Among the notable attendees were:

The dignitaries expressed that this social initiative would become a companion in the joys and sorrows of the local community.
The event was coordinated by social worker Sarat Kumar Prusty. On this occasion, retired teacher Laxman Prusty announced his contribution of a 5-bed house for the project. In support of the Ashbasti Bhavan, Dillip Kumar Barik and Narayan Barik donated land for the construction.
