Nabarangpur, Dec, 11:  At the Nabarangpur Sanskruti Bhavan, the vibrant pulse of tribal culture and tradition was on full display. In view of the upcoming Mondei 2025 grand festival, district-level folk song competitions and traditional attire contests were organized. The day-long event, held from 10 AM to 3 PM, drew enthusiastic participation.

In the folk song competition, 12 contestants beautifully presented traditional tribal songs.
Daily labourer Damodar Panka secured the second position, while Radha Damai Bhatra won the third place.

Similarly, in the traditional attire competition, 10 contestants showcased attractive indigenous tribal dresses.
In this event, Sasmita Bhatra of Nabarangpur won first place, Arati Ganda secured second, and Bindia Behera stood third.

Prominent district artists Debadas Mahankud, Swarsik Bhatra, and Narsingh Tripathy served as judges and evaluated the performances.

It has been decided that all six winners from these competitions will be felicitated on the Mondei grand stage.

The District Culture Officer, as the organizer, encouraged all participants to continue contributing toward the promotion of culture. Junior Assistant Sha Atma Prakash Sahu, Office Peon A. Santosh Kumar, and District Information & Public Relations Office staff Subrata Bishoyi assisted in managing the programme.
