Anushree Sardar Tops +2 Arts Exams in Malkangiri District

Malkangiri: In the results declared by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education for the +2 Arts stream, the Balimela College of Science and Technology in Malkangiri district has taken the lead. According to reports, Anushree Sardar, a student of Balimela College of Science and Technology, secured 485 marks out of 600 (80.8%) and became the district topper in the Arts stream.

A total of 3,858 students appeared for the +2 Arts examination in Malkangiri district. Out of them, 186 secured first division, 403 secured second division, and 2,371 passed in third division. While two male students topped in the Science and Commerce streams respectively, Anushree Sardar emerged as the topper in Arts.

Anushree belongs to a humble farming family. She credited her success first and foremost to her parents – father Amala Sardar and mother Saraswati Sardar. Though her father is a farmer, he never neglected his children’s education. “I have done whatever I could,” he said modestly.

Anushree expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her college principal Ravi Patra Sir, all her teachers and staff members. She also thanked her friends, saying that without their support, her success wouldn’t have been possible. In particular, she acknowledged her political science teacher, Purushottam Samartha Sir, for his constant guidance.

When asked about her future plans, Anushree said she aspires to become a good teacher. She expressed her wish to educate and uplift children from poor families like her own, helping them become successful individuals.
