Kotpad, Dec, 30: An Antyodaya Awas Mela was organized today at the Panchayat Samiti Office, Kotpad. On this occasion, 12 beneficiaries who had completed their houses were provided with financial assistance of Rs 20,000 each.
The mela was held in the presence of Panchayat Samiti Vice-Chairman Tapan Kumar Panigrahi and the Block Development Officer. Beneficiaries of Kotpad block who completed their houses within six months were specially recognized. A total of 21 beneficiaries were awarded an additional bonus of Rs 10,000 each for timely completion of their houses.
Assistant Executive Engineer Manoj Kumar Nayak and Junior Engineer Satya Narayan were present at the event. Beneficiaries from 17 Gram Panchayats under the Aryodaya/Antyodaya Awas scheme participated in the mela. GPO Sudhanshu Sekhar Rath and GPDO Kedarnath also attended.
During the mela, various queries of the beneficiaries were addressed, and other beneficiaries were encouraged to complete their houses at the earliest to avail the bonus. Information regarding the scheme and new guidelines was provided by BPC (RH), BPEA, and Panchayat-level officials.
The mela was attended by the Panchayat Samiti Chairperson, block officials, all sarpanches, samiti members, and other public representatives. Beneficiaries who completed their houses within four months were especially felicitated. Many housing scheme beneficiaries from different panchayats were present at the event.
