Chandbali, Jan, 02: The 16th Annual Sports Festival was held at Saraswati Shishumandir, located at Agapeeth in the Chandbali block. Students studying at the Shishumandir participated in various events and showcased their sports skills.
Earlier, in a meeting organized under the chairmanship of Headmaster Bibhutibhushan Biswal, Dillip Shekhar Nayak, coordinator of the local resource center at Pohana Mathadiha, attended as the chief guest and highlighted the importance of sports as an integral part of education.
Other guests included Himanshu Shekhar Sahu, headmaster of Jagulai English School, Anjulata Puhan, headmistress of Pohana Primary School, retired teacher Harishchandra Das, and school editor Swadhin Das, who guided the children about sports.
A total of 65 students participated in 10 different events, and the best performers were selected and awarded prizes. The events were conducted under the supervision of sports teacher Sushant Biswal.
The school teachers Niranjan Sahu, Nivedita Palei, Samapika Nayak, Sucharita Nayak, and others also assisted in organizing the event.
