Korukonda , Feb, 10: The Annual Sports Day for the current academic year was celebrated at Apanmala Upper Primary School under Somnathpur Panchayat in Korukonda Block of Malkangiri district.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Headmistress Manjushree Mahali. At the beginning of the event, all students took an oath to participate in sports with discipline, dedication, and true sportsmanship. The sports meet was formally inaugurated by Panchayat Resource Centre Coordinator Kishore Khosla.
Students enthusiastically participated in various sports events and displayed their competitive spirit. The games of the young children were especially attractive and entertaining. Local villagers, along with all the students of the school, enjoyed the sports festival.
It has been decided that the successful and meritorious students will be awarded prizes during the school’s annual function.
In her concluding remarks, Headmistress Manjushree Mahali encouraged the students by saying that whether in sports or in any test of life, winning or losing is not the most important thing; what truly matters is finding the key to success even in failure.
On this occasion, School Management Committee President Laxman Sisa, former student Ganesh Sisa, Assistant Teacher Nitai Kumar Ray, teachers Rashmita Jali, Shraddhanjali Mallik, Saudamini Maharana, and other staff members extended their cooperation in making the sports event successful.
