Navarangpur, Dec, 24: The 8th annual festival of the Senior Citizens’ Association was held at Baba Akhandalamani Temple in Navarangpur. Navarangpur MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi attended the event as the chief guest. He assured that the MLA would provide financial support for the establishment of a Senior Citizens’ Community Hall and praised the association for taking steps toward fulfilling its goals.
The association’s President Radhanath Behera, Vice President Chandra Kumar Acharya, General Editor B. Rammurti Pattnayak, Editor Lakshmikant Mishra, and Treasurer Jagannath Mahapatra presided over the event. The General Editor read out the annual report of the association.
Members who have contributed significantly in the field of social service, including Chaitanya Pattnayak, Manorama Majhi, and P. Anand, were felicitated. The members present discussed the necessary steps for the further development of the association. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from the association’s President, Mr. Behera.
