Malkangiri, Jan, 12: The second annual festival of Adarsha Graduate College, Malkangiri, was held today in the college campus in the morning. The festival was presided over by the college principal, Dr. Alok Kumar Patra. The chief guest of the event was the Additional District Collector of Malkangiri, Somanath Pradhan.
During the formal inauguration of the festival, Mr. Pradhan emphasized that education should not be limited to textbooks alone, but should also help in the development of one’s culture and values. He encouraged the students to be conscientious and dedicated.
The Administrative Officer of the college, Dr. Prasanna Kumar Baral, read the annual report, while Dr. Nigel Peter O’Brien, Head of the English Department, delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests.
On this occasion, students who excelled in various cultural competitions and the annual sports competitions organized during the festival were honored by the guests with mementos and certificates. Dr. Debasish Pahi, IQAC Convener of the college, coordinated the prize distribution ceremony and offered his thanks.
Ms. Smile Vaishnav, a faculty member of the English Department, assisted in managing the festival. All the teachers, staff, and students of the college were present at the event.
