Kodala, Feb, 17: The fourth annual celebration of Purnachandra Smruti Sansad was held at the Fasi Adapa Mandap premises in Ganjam district. The event was organized under the guidance of founder-secretary Pramila Pani, with coordination by young poet Raiganjan Nanda.
International poet Prasanna Dalei attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the program. He spoke on the discussion topic titled “Life After Death.” The meeting was presided over by poet Prashanta Mishra. Speakers included Narmada Dora, while Gopal Chandra Lenka joined as the keynote speaker. Teacher Simanchal Pani attended as an honored guest. The speakers paid tribute to Late Purnachandra, and the self-written book “Bhuli Huena” by Pramila Pani was formally unveiled by the guests.
In the second session, coordinated by Balaram Palei and Divyani Martha, around 30 invited poets recited their poems.
During the concluding felicitation ceremony, several talented personalities were honored, including Dandapani Mahapatra, Naresh Chandra Ray Mahapatra, Gaur Chandra Sadangi, Brajabandhu Behera, and Nalini Prabha Mishra.
Many distinguished personalities, intellectuals, poets, writers, and journalists attended the event. The program was managed by Sansad president Nilakantha Das along with Prakash Chandra Biswal, Rabindra Tripathy, Minati Devi, Lilabati Padhi, and Anima Pattnaik.
