Jeypore, 14th Aug 2025: The “Ama Police” committee meeting was organized by Jeypore Town Police. Jeypore SDPO Partha Kashyap attended the meeting and discussed how good relations could be maintained between the police and the general public. Issues such as criminal activities in the town, traffic control, and other problems were also discussed.

On this occasion, it was emphasized that the police are always standing with the people in the fight against crime. If anyone commits a crime, the police keep a constant watch on them. The SDPO stated that if the public and police work together, crime in the city can be effectively controlled. He added that in the past, people were afraid to go to the police station, but times have changed — now the police are always ready to ensure the safety of the public, and people are beginning to establish friendly relations with the police, which is helping reduce crime.

To make Jeypore city crime-free, a toll-free number has been issued. Citizens were urged to immediately inform the police via the toll-free number if any criminal activity is seen anywhere.

The program was attended by Jeypore Municipality Chairperson Narendra Kumar Mahanti, Jeypore Town Police Station Officer Ullas Chandra Raut, Sadar Police Station Officer Sachindra Pradhan, senior citizens, representatives from various organizations, members of Jeypore City Council, and sarpanches from Jeypore block.
