Alumni Parliament Vows to Protect Kendrapara College Land at Executive Meet

Kendrapara, 18th July 2025:  The first executive committee meeting of the alumni parliament of Kendrapara Autonomous College was held on Sunday. The meeting, chaired by academician Duryodhan Parida, emphasized the urgent need to protect the college land from illegal encroachment.

Discussions were also held on collecting alumni data, improving the academic environment at the Mother Education Centre, and overall infrastructure development. A committee was formed for alumni collection, comprising Dr. Trailokyanath Samal, intellectual Chittaranjan Das, lecturer Seema Mahanta, and lecturer Subrata Samal.

For the protection of college land, a separate committee was formed under the coordination of Dr. Pradeep Kishore Dash, including Chittaranjan Das and social worker Pratap Mahanti. Another committee was formed for the development of the academic environment, consisting of Dr. Bidhubhusan Dash, Subrata Brata Samal, and Dr. Rashmi Kar.

For public outreach, a committee was created under the coordination of Rajesh Kumar Nayak, with Chittaranjan Das as a member. To prepare a comprehensive alumni database, another committee was established under the leadership of Smritiranjan Jena.

On this occasion, Professor Shantanu Kumar Jena, the newly appointed principal of the college, was formally welcomed.

Dr. Pramod Kumar Das, the secretary of the alumni parliament, presented a report on the previous meeting along with financial details.

Among others, advisor and educationist Nanda Kishore Parida, Biswajit Das, and Kalpana Mallik were present and actively participated in the deliberations.
