Kotpad: The Kotpad Agricultural Farm, situated on approximately 70 acres of land, includes rice fields, a fish pond, and an orchard. However, this valuable farm has now become the subject of complaints from the public, accusing officials of mismanagement. The rice cultivation has been taking place on nearly 60 acres of land, and every year, despite the rice being cultivated, farmers have raised concerns that less revenue reaches the government account, while a significant amount ends up in personal pockets.

Similarly, fish farming in the pond has allegedly been conducted without following proper tendering processes, raising further complaints. It is also reported that the income from the orchard is not being transferred to the government account. Farmers have criticized the farm’s current management practices, particularly in promoting new methods for rice farming, which they claim have failed to motivate them.

The government farm is said to be running under questionable management practices, and allegations have been made that the farm’s resources are being misused. Despite these accusations, local officials claim that investigations will be conducted. The Chief District Agriculture Officer, Gokula Nanda Pradhan, has been asked to look into these concerns. The officer responsible for this farm, Lakshminarayan Panda, has been warned that action will be taken if any departmental guidelines are violated.

Farmers are now demanding a thorough administrative investigation into the farm’s activities to uncover the truth behind these serious allegations.
