All Odisha Primary Teachers’ Federation Holds State-Level Meeting in Jeypore

Jeypore, 21st Aug 2025: The execu tive meeting of the All Odisha Primary Teachers’ Federation, Koraput District Primary Teachers’ Association was held on Sunday at the Sangam Kalyan Mandap in Jeypore. The meeting was presided over by Trinath Harijan, President of the District Teachers’ Association. Present on the occasion were the association’s legal advisor Ramakant Raul, advisor Gokuli Pradhan, P. Harish Rao, organizing secretary Chittaranjan Rath, and all office bearers of the association.

The event began with Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Secretary of the Jeypore Block Teachers’ Association, introducing the guests. A welcome address was delivered by Debi Prasad Das, President.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the 10-point charter of demands, which included:

Promotion of teachers,

Promotion without OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test),

Implementation of basic facilities,

Filling up of vacant BEO (Block Education Officer) and ABEO (Assistant Block Education Officer) posts, among others.

A decision was also taken regarding the reorganization of both the district and block associations. Nayan Bishoyi, Zonal Coordinator of the District Association, offered the vote of thanks.

More than 100 office bearers from 16 branches across all blocks of Koraput district participated in the meeting. Office bearers of the Jeypore Primary Teachers’ Association — Purandhar Nayak, Mamata Mahapatra, Jyotirani Panda, Sagar Tripathy, and Manoranjan Palai — actively extended their support to the program.
