AISECT Odisha Launches Skill Development Yatra and AI Literacy Mission in Koraput

Koraput ,17th Oct 2025:  The Odisha branch of AISECT, in collaboration with Mahaveer Residential College Similiguda, Damanjodi ITI Similiguda, and AISECT’s Jeypore branch operated by NICT Computer Education Jeypore, has successfully organized the Skill Development Yatra and AI Literacy Mission in Koraput district. This program, initiated by AISECT – one of the country’s leading higher education organizations – marks a significant step towards empowering youth with modern skills and digital literacy.

Launched on 6th October 2025, the Yatra aims to cover over 500 educational institutions across 300 districts in 20 states of India. The objective is to reach students at the grassroots level and engage them in discussions about future technologies, skill enhancement, and educational growth.

During the journey, free AI seminars, workshops, career counseling sessions, and domain-specific exhibitions were organized, drawing large participation from students and local youth.

AISECT spokesperson Santosh Choubey remarked,

> “The Skill Development Yatra 2025 is not just an educational campaign. It is a step toward connecting the youth with emerging technologies and providing them with employment-oriented education, contributing to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation.”

Key dignitaries present during the event included Rajanikant Pradhan, Principal of Mahaveer Residential College; Jasmin Mahanta, Principal of Damanjodi ITI; and N.N. Jayasurya, Center Director of AISECT Jeypore.
AISECT Odisha Project Directors Niladri Maharana, Sudhanshu Nayak, and Abhishek Pradhan were praised for their commendable efforts.

They stated that the AI Literacy Mission and Skill Development Yatra are guiding pathways for today’s youth, helping them gain access to technology-driven learning and job-ready skills.
AISECT’s initiative to organize such events in the future aims to empower every youth in India with the tools and knowledge of the new digital era — a truly commendable endeavor.
