Malkangiri: In Korukonda block of Malkangiri district, under Tarlakota panchayat, about 35 tribal families living in the village of Ragei-Pushpali have been deprived of basic minimum facilities.
Following a detailed report published on May 10 in the ‘Odisha Bhaskar’ and various other daily newspapers highlighting this issue, the district administration acted promptly. The District Collector and District Development Officer Naresh Chandra Shabara, Korukonda Block Group Development Officer Amulya Kumar Sahu, Tarlakota Panchayat Executive Officer Simanchal Nayak, Bhakta Ram Mandi, Junior Engineer Krushibas Nayak, Junior Engineer Bapuji Nayak along with other officials visited Ragei-Pushpali village.
They inspected the village roads, Anganwadi center, drinking water project, drainage, and other facilities. They also gathered information from the villagers about the ongoing problems in the village.
The district administration and block authorities, through a joint effort, will take necessary steps to provide permanent solutions to the longstanding issues faced by the village, stated Group Development Officer Mr. Sahu.
