Nabarangpur, Jan, 23: Abhitsa Singh, a physical education teacher at Madeigaon High School in Kosagumuda block of Nabarangpur district, has been selected to play for the Odisha Tennis Ball Cricket team.
In this regard, the Secretary of the Odisha Tennis Ball Cricket Association informed the District Education Officer through a letter dated the 15th, seeking permission for teacher Abhitsa Singh to participate in the matches from the 17th to the 23rd. District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu granted the necessary permission.
Abhitsa Singh will represent Odisha in the 36th Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship to be held from January 19 to 22 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. After receiving permission from the District Education Officer, the physical education teacher has proceeded to Nagpur to take part in the championship.
