Bhubaneswar, Dec, 11: Civil defence volunteers celebrated the 63rd Civil Defence Day at Jeypore, Koraput. The event was attended by Koraput Additional District Collector Tapan Nayak and other officials.
During the celebration, volunteers highlighted how lives can be protected during emergencies, referencing the lessons learned from Operation Sindur. The event also saw the participation of Lalat Ranjan Sethi, Chairman of the Municipal Council, as the honored guest.
The Additional District Collector commended the efforts of civil defence volunteers and encouraged them to continue such activities. Volunteers have played a crucial role in raising public awareness during various natural calamities and disasters.
During this occasion, they demonstrated their skills and techniques, showcasing how people were rescued during Operation Sindur. This exhibition highlighted the expertise and dedication of the civil defence volunteers.
