Jeypore, 1st Sept 2025: The IFFCO company has brought temporary relief to farmers by supplying 350 tons of urea. The fertilizer has not been provided to private dealers. Instead, it has been supplied to various LAMPs (Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies) across the district. IFFCO Deputy Field Manager Bishwaranjan Jayasingh stated that the company has sent the urea directly to LAMPs in different blocks. Additional Director (ADO) Lalatendu Mahapatra, Block Agriculture Officer Smita Padhi, and Manager Jayasingh were present during the distribution. They issued instructions regarding how much fertilizer each LAMP would receive. Urea has been supplied to LAMPs in Kumuliput, Baipariguda, Kundura, Kotpad, Borigumma, Kamta, and various areas of Koraput subdivision.
