3,196 Candidates Appear for New Bharat Literacy Mission Examination

Umarkot, 12th Nov 2025:  As part of the central government’s initiative to achieve literacy for all citizens, 3,196 learners appeared for the New Bharat Literacy Mission exam this year at Navarangpur district, Umarkot block, under the local education center.

The exam was conducted in 189 schools. A total of 223 volunteer teachers managed the examination process. Among the candidates, 1,178 belonged to Scheduled Castes, 1,338 to Scheduled Tribes, and 680 were from the general category, including both men and women.

The examination was monitored by 20 CRCCs (Circle Resource and Coordination Centers), including Ishwar Chandra Majhi, B.R.C.S.C Debendra Bag, C.R.C.S.C Bishnu Prasad Sahu, Sameer Kumar Gantayat, and Motiram Gand.
