Dabugaon,17th Nov 2025: Potato seeds were distributed to farmers at the office of the Assistant Horticulture Officer located in front of Dabugaon Police Station in Dabugaon block of Nabarangpur district. This year, a total of 1,350 quintals of potato seeds have been allotted for farmers of Dabugaon block.
In the first phase, 300 quintals of potato seeds received for 100 farmers from the panchayats of Anchala, Medana, Dabugaon, Chacharaguda, Koilari, Badaolma, and Borigaon were distributed between Monday and Thursday.
Assistant Horticulture Officer Rabi Shankar Panda and Horticulture Demonstrator Pramod Kumar Gaud carried out the distribution program. It has been informed that once the second phase of potato seeds arrives, they will also be distributed to farmers.
Farmers who wish to collect potato seeds are required to bring their Aadhaar card, photo, land patta, and bank passbook. Additionally, they must be registered on the Krushak Odisha portal of the Government of Odisha and can apply through the Go Sugam portal.
The Assistant Horticulture Officer also informed that after cultivating potatoes, the subsidy amount will be credited directly to the farmers’ bank accounts.
