Bhubaneswar: Considering the demands of students and parents, the Higher Education Department has extended the deadline for UG admission applications in all state universities (offering UG courses), government-aided colleges (under the SAMS system), self-financed colleges, self-financing courses, and Sanskrit (Shastri) programs.

As per the latest notification issued by the Higher Education Department today, interested students can now submit their applications online until June 4 at 11:45 PM.

Previously, the application deadline was set for May 20, but due to the non-publication of Higher Secondary exam results conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), the government extended the deadline to June 1.

The department has clarified that there will be no further extension of the application deadline.

This year, UG admissions are being conducted for 2,74,569 seats in 1,054 colleges. So far, 2,59,846 students have applied online
