Langaleswar, Jan, 09: The 29th Foundation Day of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) from the Basta Assembly Constituency was celebrated at Langaleswar. Addressing the gathering, Basta MLA Subasini Jena said that as long as she represents the people in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, she will continue to serve the people of the Basta and Baliapal areas till her last breath.
As a distinguished guest, former MP Er. Rabindra Kumar Jena said that various steps would be taken in the coming days for the convenience and welfare of the people of Basta and Baliapal.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Govinda Prasad Das, President of Baliapal Block BJD. Among those who addressed the meeting were District BJD Vice-President Barada Prasanna Pattnaik, senior BJD leaders Chakradhar Giri, Bhagaban Giri, Lakshmidhar Das, Sarat Pradhan, Pradeep Biswal, Subrat Panda, Ajay Samal, Maheswar Jena, Deb Deb, Mahadev Das, Ajay Patra, Mrutyunjaya Nayak, Zilla Parishad member Benudhar Jena, and Basta Block Mahila BJD President Lipika Raul. They spoke on how to further strengthen the BJD organization.
Many sarpanches, samiti members, and party workers from all panchayats of Basta and Baliapal blocks participated in the programme.
Prior to the foundation day event, MLA Subasini Jena visited the tribal hamlet of Baniadihi Panchayat, where she distributed blankets among the local residents.
