Belaguntha, Dec, 20: The 28th annual sports festival of Vivekananda Shishu Shiksha Pratisthan, located in Gangpur block, Belaguntha, was inaugurated today. The opening ceremony was organized under the supervision of the Organizing Committee Editor Seemanchal Prusti and Principal Sasmita Majhi. The event was inaugurated by Gangpur Police Station Officer Banabihari Pradhan, while the chief guest, Sorada MLA representative and youth social worker Jitendra Kumar Nayak, encouraged the students.
Other honored guests included Shankarshan Bishoyi, President of Gangpur Village Management Committee, former President Nityananda Bishoyi, School Management Committee members Santosh Kumar Bishoyi, Ratnakar Nayak, Prakash Chandra Bishoyi, and Dibakar Bishoyi, who addressed the students about the importance of sports.
Today, competitions were held across seven divisions, and the prize distribution ceremony will take place on the upcoming Monday. The sports festival was organized under the guidance of sports teacher Debashish Bishoyi, Cultural Council Chief Mithun Nayak, senior teacher Ganesh Sahu, and Pavitra Mohan Bishoyi, with the cooperation of all the school teachers.
Principal Sasmita Majhi expressed her gratitude at the conclusion of the event.
