Nandapur, 15th Sept 2025: To address the shortage of urea fertilizer in the Nandapur block region, 2,000 bags have been delivered to the Nandapur LAMPS and 500 bags to the Paduwa LAMPS, totaling 112 metric tons of urea. This information was shared by Nandapur Tahasildar Debabrata Maharana and LAMPS operator Suresh Panda. The fertilizer has been unloaded and properly stored at both LAMPS godowns, they said.
To ensure a smooth and orderly distribution of the fertilizer, an emergency meeting of the Block Enforcement Team was held, which included officials from the Tahasildar’s office, Agriculture Department, local police, and LAMPS authorities.
As per the decisions made in the meeting, the urea stock received from MARKFED will be recorded in the POS (Point of Sale) machine using the corresponding DD number, and the fertilizer will be sold to farmers of the block at the government-fixed subsidized rate.
Within two days, the urea fertilizer will also be delivered to the registered wholesale and retail fertilizer distribution centers across the block. The district administration has stated that this will completely eliminate the fertilizer shortage in the Nandapur block.
