Nandapur, Dec, 26: A district-level joint public hearing camp was held on Monday at the meeting hall within the Nandapur Block Office premises in Koraput district. The program was attended by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bhaktabandhu Janardanan Dalei, Sub-Collector Premlal Hial, DPHO Debadatta Mallik, Block Chairperson Savitri Karbhula, Nandapur BDO Durgaprasad Dora, SDPO Debendra Mallik, Additional Tahsildar Madhav Pangi, and all district- and block-level officials.
During the hearing, local residents raised concerns regarding development works in the block, including:
Construction of an indoor stadium in Nandapur block headquarters
Development of Alia collection center and Dosingyard construction
Acceleration of development work in Batri Singhason and Muktiamb Gumpa areas
Eviction of encroachments from various tourist spots for development purposes
Identification of land for development
Construction of roads in revenue villages such as Kaudikhal
Construction of a new Panchayat office due to the remote location of Panthulung Panchayat office Repair or new construction of tankels and Anganwadi centers in Panthulung and Kathua Road construction from Hatgudatha to Kathua and from Jayantgiri to Mariput Provision of allowances for differently-abled and mentally challenged persons A total of 24 complaints—22 collective and 2 individual—were submitted during the hearing. The ADM instructed the concerned departmental officials to review these complaints and take necessary actions.
