Asurali, Feb, 14:The 22nd Hanuman Annual Festival was organized under the leadership of the Mahavir Committee of Palasahi Panchayat in Dhamnagar Block and the villagers of Palasahi.
The festival began on the 7th and will continue until the 10th. On the first day, rituals such as Ankuraropan (sowing of sacred seeds) and Adhibas were performed. On the second day, hundreds of devotees participated in a village procession and Kalash Yatra. Holy water was brought from the Baitarani River for the ceremonial installation of the sacred pot.
Each day, the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa filled the air with devotion. On Monday, a Gita Yajna was also conducted.
The rituals were performed as per tradition by Pandit Dhirendra Kumar Pati Sharma, Pandit Badri Narayan Panda, Pandit Panchanan Mishra, Pandit Vibhutibhushan Satpathy, Ramakanta Sahu, and Diptiranjan Debasharma, among others.
