Kandhamal, Jan 31: The 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram was celebrated today by the K. Nuagaon Block Administration of Kandhamal district at the ICDS office premises with a mass singing ceremony.
All block employees, teachers, staff of various departments, and students of Kudutuli and Nuagaon High Schools participated in the event. Holding a long tricolour flag, they marched through the town, raised slogans in praise of great national leaders, and took an oath reflecting patriotic and Swadeshi sentiments.
On this occasion, a meeting was also organized. Block BDO Ms. Subhranjali Pradhan, Block Chairperson Sulochana Dalabehera, Vice-Chairperson Dhabaleswar Patra, Assistant Executive Engineer Er. Shobham Mahapatra, Headmaster Manoj Kumar Rath, and BFO Jyoti Prakash Mishra addressed the gathering. They explained the significance, objectives, and patriotic spirit of Vande Mataram on its 150th anniversary and expressed that by embracing the ideals of this national song, future citizens can contribute to making India a developed and great nation.
Among others, Extension Officer Burumajhi Patra, GPEO Smruti Sagar Pradhan, CP Rakesh Kumar Sahu, and other block officials were present and extended their cooperation in organizing the program.
