Jeypore, 18th Nov 2025:On the instructions of the Odisha Government’s Department of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Minority Welfare, Tribal Pride Day was celebrated at the Balya Ashram School in Jayapur Block with the participation of parents.

During the program, discussions were held regarding the students’ educational progress and the development of the school and hostel facilities. The event also focused on strengthening the health and nutrition of the students, raising awareness among parents about the safety and security of their children, and encouraging student participation in various cultural activities. Parents also actively participated in speeches and discussions related to these topics.

The program, organized under the chairmanship of Headmistress Subhasini Dash, had as its chief guest Shashibhushan Das, President of the Koraput District branch of the Odisha State Unorganized Workers Coordination Committee. He provided guidance to the students and sensitized parents on their responsibilities.

Other honored guests included Balya Sarpanch Saraswati Majhi, school committee member Sunadhar Gadba, Jayapur Block DWEO (District Welfare Education Officer) Abha Pradhan, and Ballav Pattnayak. Teachers Bhavani Nayak, Ranjani Dash, Snehanjali Rath, Dipti Mahanti, and Assistant P.I. Asha Porch oversaw the organization and smooth functioning of the event.

On this occasion, students were awarded prizes by the chief guest. At the conclusion, Headmistress Subhasini Dash extended heartfelt thanks to everyone and formally closed the program.
