Tentulikhunti, March, 2: The 138th birth anniversary of Thakur Anukulchandra and the 31st Annual Udvodhan Memorial Festival of the Khatiguda Satsang Sri Mandir were celebrated on Sunday at Khatiguda under Tentulikhunti Block of Nabarangpur district.
On this occasion, devotees were inspired by the nectar-like teachings and life philosophy of Thakur. They were urged to rise above differences of caste, religion, creed, and community, dedicate themselves along with their families, make their lives meaningful, and move forward on the path of world peace.
The celebrations began during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta with Mangalika Nahabat (auspicious instrumental music), Usha Kirtan (morning devotional songs), morning prayers, recitation of sacred texts (Satgrantha), and musical offerings. A Nagar Kirtan (devotional procession through the town) was also conducted.
After the Satsang Parikrama (circumambulation) and spiritual discussions, devotees partook in prasad.
Followers and members of the Khatiguda Satsang Sri Mandir actively cooperated in organizing the event. Chief Satsang coordinator Jagatbandhu Sahu, Pavitra Mohan Merakap, Rabindra Nath Muduli, Naveen Nayak, and Bishwanath Biswal were among those present.
Guru followers—both brothers and mothers—from various parts of the district participated in the celebration. The program was organized with the support of the Indravati Satsang members. Devotees from various religious institutions of Indravati were also present at the event.
