Jeypore, 31st Oct 2025:: A total of 136 children were born in Koraput district during Cyclone Montha, of which 67 were boys and 69 were girls, said District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rabindra Nath Mishra.
During the cyclone, a total of 332 pregnant women were accommodated in various medical facilities and mother-care homes in the district. Of these, 160 women were kept in mother-care homes, and 172 in different health centers.
In the past three days, 136 children were born, and among them, one child was stillborn. All the mothers and babies are reported to be healthy.
