Nabarangpur: Under the Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission, water pumps have been distributed to farmers. Nabarangpur MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi and Nabarangpur Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Administrator Rajeev Kumar Sahu distributed pump sets to 130 beneficiaries nominated by the Tribal Livelihood Council across Nabarangpur, Nandahandi, Papadahandi, Tentulikhunti, Dabugaon, and Kosagumuda blocks.
This year, the district aims to provide 250 pump sets under this scheme. Each pump set costs Rs23,145, and the ITDA is providing a subsidy of ₹20,000 per unit. As a result, each beneficiary only needs to pay ₹3,145 for the pump set, as explained by the MLA.
Through the Chief Minister’s Tribal Livelihood Mission, the ITDA in Nabarangpur is implementing various livelihood development projects across 194 revenue villages to promote the collective growth of tribal communities. The program was coordinated by ITDA Project Manager Govind Kumar.
