Papadahandi, 15th Oct 2025: A district-level under-17 volleyball selection camp was recently held at Government Lalbahadur High School, Daleiguda, under Papadahandi Block in Nabarangpur district.
The event witnessed the presence of District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, and the school’s Headmistress Bharati Bishoi, who inaugurated the program.
A total of 40 students from 10 blocks of the district participated in the selection process.
Based on performance, 12 students have been selected to represent the district in the upcoming State-Level Volleyball Tournament, scheduled to be held on October 12 and 13 at Charampata, Bhadrak district.
The selection process was overseen by a panel of 15 physical education teachers, including Manoranjan Praharaj, Shaikh Jaul Hussen, Bhagaban Pradhan, Dillip Bhanja, and Ajit Parija, among others.
District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu and Physical Education Inspector Prabhat Kumar Pattnayak extended their best wishes to the selected players, encouraging them to perform well at the state level and secure a place in the national-level team.
