11,500 Saplings Planted in Jharigaon Block to Mark PM Narendra Modi’s Birthday

Nabarangpur, 22nd Sept 2025:  A massive tree plantation program was organized in Chingidiguda village of Biksha Panchayat under Jharigaon Block in Nabarangpur district to mark the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

As part of this event, a total of 11,500 saplings were planted. The program was graced by Jharigaon MLA Narsingha Bhatra, who attended as the chief guest and participated in the plantation drive.

Everyone present took a sacred pledge to contribute to the environment through this initiative called “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) to honor the Prime Minister’s birthday.

The message conveyed was:
“Just like a mother gives us life, love, and protection, trees too beautify nature, protect the environment, and provide clean air and life to future generations. Planting a tree is not just a service to nature—it is a living tribute to our mothers, reflecting our respect and devotion.”

It was also highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi has turned 75 years old, and to celebrate this, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has set a goal of planting 75 lakh trees across the state. The efforts in Jharigaon are a contribution toward fulfilling this noble vision.

  • Along with a large number of villagers
