This November,the treasured flavours of Tamil Nadu arrive in Vijayawada, carrying with them stories of spice, memory and heritage. Novotel Vijayawada Varun invites the city to experience the Tamil Nadu Food Festival  an offering envisioned not merely as a meal, but as a gentle journey into the soul of the state.

At the heart of this celebration is Chef Kaviyarasu Sundaraju, a proud member of the South India Chefs’ Association and an advocate for preserving South Indian culinary traditions. With deep expertise in Chettinadu, Kongunadu, Achi Samayal, Madurai specialities and Nanjil Nadu (Kanyakumari) cuisine, Chef Kaviyarasu brings an approach rooted in authenticity, regional ingredients and time-honoured cooking techniques.

From 22 to 28 November 2025; Food Exchange  the hotel’s all-day dining destination  transforms into a vibrant tribute to Tamil culture. The buffet dinner presents a thoughtfully curated menu that captures the essence of Tamil cuisine, defined by its balance, depth and heritage. Live counters recreate the charm of bustling Tamil kitchens, letting guests witness flavours unfold, while themed décor evokes the rustic beauty of the region.

Guests can look forward to aromatic favourites such as Chettinad Chicken, Kothu Parotta, and a variety of regional specialities that celebrate the heart of Tamil Nadu.

As these timeless flavours arrive in Vijayawada, the festival becomes an invitation to slow down, savour heritage and rediscover the joy of food crafted with memory, meaning and tradition.
